Healthy Mouth, Healthy Pet
Everyone gets excited in February when it’s Veterinary Dental month, but let’s face it, every month is Dental month!  If you are waiting until February to have your pet’s dental performed there is a greater risk of disease entering their body from the dental disease.
  • Who looks forward to going to the dentist twice a year for cleanings?
  • Who would like to be anesthetized when they have their teeth cleaned?
  • Who thinks their pet would appreciate having their teen cleaned without anesthesia?
  • We DO NOT believe anesthesia free is a Fear Free approach to dental health and neither does the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Dental College, or the American Veterinary Dental Society.
  • Annual dental cleanings for your pet is equivalent to us seeing the dentist every 7 years!  Here is a great article that explains Dental Health that is applicable to both dogs and cats.  Yes, our feline friends need dental care too!
At EWAH we have options to help you provide preventative and wellness care for your pet’s!  Check out our services and Petly Plans or be sure to ask at your next visit.

I had no idea that, as you mentioned, pets are really good at hiding any pain they may be feeling. Also, like you said, preventing a problem is way easier then fixing one. I am not sure the last time my dog went in for a physical. I should probably get him in, and checked up to make sure everything is all good.

By its nature, that means the answer to the research question is still unknown. You might or might not benefit directly by participating in a clinical research study.

Most people in lieu of adopting a pet will not adopt a starving child, or divert every disposable dollar to children’s charities. But, it makes a huge difference to the life of that one adopted animal to come to a loving home.

It made sense when you said that kittens need to be vaccinated for feline herpesvirus since there's no cure for it. My husband and I want to find a good local vet before adopting a kitten from a shelter next week. Thanks for teaching me what vaccines we'll need to get from the vet to ensure our kitten stays healthy and is protected from common issues!

Hi, The Bengal cat is a unique example of the successful crossbreeding of wild and domestic breeds. They are active, playful, and sociable pets. The Bengal breed combines the best features of their ancestors: not only an attractive appearance, but also intelligence, curiosity, activity, and friendliness.

Dogs are delicate and must be fed proper food. It is best to give them boiled food with no oil content and very minimum spices.
